The cushion filling is made of extremely soft, open cell foam. To maintain the excellent properties of this material in the long run, the cushion should be cleaned accordingly.
The best cleaning procedure for the inner cushion is to wash it with a commercially available mild detergents at temperatures up to 60° C. It is not recommended to use highly chlorinated and chemically aggressive washing additives. A brownish discoloration of the foam can not be avoided, but has no effect on the quality of the foam.
After washing and rinsing please remove as much water as possible through the spin cycle. The inner cushion can be best dried by air on a rack. It can also be tumble dried at 90° C, but please avoid over-drying.
Please plump up the inner cushion regularly so that it retains its fluness and shape.
The cover is machine washable at 60° C or can be dry cleaned. After washing, please let the cover air dry on a rack, and do not put it in the dryer. If needed, iron the fabric only at the lowest level (synthetic).
The fabric is easy to clean and very durable. Please brush off dirt and dust regularly, before it can penetrate deeper into the fabric, and remove stains immediately. For simple and uncomplicated cleaning in between, simply vacuum the surface of the cover with an upholstery brush.
The answer is yes. Most dogs sleep for 12 hours a day and it's not good for them to sleep on the floor, especially if they are older. Dogs need a place of their own as it gives them a place to feel safe, which is important especially for anxious dogs. The bed also reduces the amount of hair and dirt that ends up on your furniture.
After some use, regular dog beds begin flattening out and causing your dog or puppy incredible discomfort. When a dog lies down on an orthopedic bed, he shouldn’t be able to feel the floor through the bed. Preventing achy joints, stiff muscles, improved blood flow, and a night of more restful sleep are just a few health benefits of a good orthopedic dog bed.
This might be because their current bed is too hot, too cold, the wrong size/shape or somehow uncomfortable. Here at SHOOBY you can find dog beds and dog cushions that suit your dog's weight, length, age, health conditions and sleeping style.
Make sure it's large enough for your dog to be able to lie comfortably in all natural positions. Measure your dog from their nose to their tail while they are sleeping, then add 20-30 cm to determine the length or diameter of the bed (keep in mind whether your dog is fully grown when measuring).
Think about your dog's sleeping style - dogs that like to sleep curled up will prefer a square, round or oval-shaped bed with raised sides, giving them a sense of security. Dog cushions are great for dogs that stretch or sprawl out while sleeping.
