1. Gather Supplies.
Before you begin detangling, make sure you're properly equipped. You’ll need a quality detangling brush, pet-safe detangling spray, and some patience (+ don't forget treats!).
2. Use a Detangling Spray to Soften Matted Fur.
You can apply a pet-friendly detangling spray to help smooth and soften the matts. 4. Prevent Matting by Regularly Brushing Your Dog's Coat

Begin by brushing in the direction their fur naturally falls, then check for any mats or knots and use left it to handle them as soon as you can.
